The Janus Figure on Boa Island – on our doorstep
In Caldragh Cemetery on Boa Island, Lower Lough Erne stand two unique stone carvings. The larger of these is a Janus figure, two figures back to back with pear shaped heads and interlacing between the heads representing hair.
Inniskillings Museum, Enniskillen – 30 minutes away
The Inniskillings Museum, in the Keep of Enniskillen Castle has fine displays of weapons, vehicles, uniforms, medals and silver along with inspiring stories of soldiers of the Royal Inniskillings Fusiliers and ‘Royal Inniskilling’ Dragoon Guards.
The Ulster American Folk Park – 40 minutes away
If you are interested in finding out about Irish history then The Ulster American Folk Park is highly recommended. Here you can immerse yourself in the world famous story of Irish emigration at this outdoor museum that brings it to life.
