Fermanagh Local Attractions – Cycling Trails
Fermanagh is part of Northern Ireland’s National Cycle Network (NCN) – an extensive network of signed trails designed to be enjoyed by everyone. Available routes vary from family-friendly and traffic free routes to long-distance and ‘challenge’ routes.
Fermanagh Cycling Trails
Some of the most popular trails across Fermanagh include the:
Castle Archdale Family Cycle Trail – A not to be missed trail taking in some of Lough Erne’s most fantastic views, important nature conservations and National trust treasures.
Kingfisher Cycle Trail – Covering a unique mix of canal side and lake-land tracks, leafy lanes, rolling hills and mountain climbs, this is a brilliantly scenic trail suitable for cyclists of a skill levels.
North West Cycle Trail – This circular 326-km cycle route takes cyclists through scenic landscapes, remote uplands, villages and towns throughout Fermanagh, Leitrim, Donegal, Tyrone and Sligo.
Castle to Castle Trail – Following the Kingfisher Trail (NCN Route 91), this trail takes cyclists from Enniskillen Castle along a 90{4ec6cad3a85860c103bbac1077221f0b01f83125d16266ec3d2e3affc8c105dc} traffic-free route to Castle Coole. Lack of traffic and well-surface roads make this trail especially suitable for families with children (confident cyclists).
West Fermanagh Loop – Using part of NCN Route 91 (Kingfisher Trail) and traversing along Route 3’s quiet country roads, this circular trail is somewhat challenging, but offers some incredible scenery.
Crom/Crom Castle Trail – Predominantly running off-road over mixed surfaces, this trail takes cyclists through one of Ireland’s most important areas of nature conservation.
